The beautiful blue and yellow of the Iris represents the diversity we all contain. She is a contradiction in terms with her stiff upright stem and the outrageous blue colour of her petals. She escapes her haughtiness, opening her petals, revealing a new identity. Gone is the unbending image; the yellow heart and the yellow petals that grow sometimes on the same flower makes her sparkling, unorthodox and lascivious. Curling petals show her inside. Meandering leaves entice you to admire her. I do. I admire her brave extravagance. Being as colourful as Iris is, makes me happy and frisky. She makes the world a brighter place, lets follow her example |
